AI Blunder: Accidental Resume Leak Points to 26-Year-Old China-Based Hacker Behind Bank Breaches

According to a CrowdStrike report, the suspect behind a wave of recent cyberattacks on South Korean financial institutions may be a 26-year-old living in China's Guangdong province. The hacker inadvertently exposed their identity, phone number, and location while using the AI coding tool Claude Code to draft a resume. The attacks utilized automated tools and AI models to target multiple banks.
